A new stadium at the Kentucky Horse Park is open, just in time for the Rolex 3-Day Event.
The facility is part of millions of dollars in capital improvements at the park for next year's World Equestrian Games.
It currently seats 7,000 people for the dressage and jumping events to be held there this weekend, but it can seat many more for future events.
"With the ability to expand to 30,000 seats, this is bigger than Rupp Arena, and Kentuckians know what that means," said Governor Steve Beshear.
Both the stadium and indoor arena are still under construction and already booking events.
