Families of some crash victims took a case to court, so Blue Grass Airport couldn't begin construction until they had their view of the runway.

Now that it's over, 27 NEWSFIRST has learned Blue Grass officials plan to reopen the runway involved in the crash.

Officials at Blue Grass Airport say they will re-open the runway involved in the crash of Comair Flight 5191. An airport spokesman says runway 26 will be open and safe by December.

The final conversation between the pilots of Comair Flight 5191 and the lone air traffic controller on duty at Blue Grass Airport, may be made public as early as Tuesday.
