One Escapee Captured, One Still At Large

An inmate who has been on the run for days has been captured.

Police say Michael Bachelder walked away from the Bell County Forestry camp on April 20th, along with another man, Travis Hatter.

Bachelder was taken into custody on Thursday night at a home in Casey County.

He was serving a sentence of 10 years out of Bell County for second degree burglary and receiving stolen property over $300 He is currently being held at the Bell County Detention Center in Pineville.

Hatter is still on the run but police believe he is also in Casey County. He was serving an eight-year sentence for third degree Burglary (2 counts), theft by unlawful taking (2 counts), and unlawful transaction with a minor 2nd Degree
