CARLISLE, Ky. (AP) - State police say four people were killed in
a car crash in eastern Kentucky, including a pregnant woman.
Police say 20-year-old William Robert Hughes of Carlisle tried
to pass a pickup truck and struck a vehicle traveling the opposite
direction Friday on Lake Road in Nicholas County.
The driver of the other car was 53-year-old Jerome B. Hicks of
Both Hicks and Carlisle were killed, along with Hicks' two
passengers, who were also from Cincinnati: 19-year-old Charles L.
Hicks and 18-year-old Mary N. Willcut.
Police say Willcut was seven-months pregnant.
Hughes' passenger, 20-year-old Dylan Boone of Carlisle, is in
stable condition at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.
