Convicted Killer Learns Sentence

A man convicted of killing a Lexington woman will spend 31 years behind bars.

A jury convicted 61-year-old Ivan Griggs in the death of Mary Elizabeth Salyers. Griggs was sentenced to 30 years for murder and one year for tampering with physical evidence.

A family member found Salyers dead inside her Keystone Court home last June. Salyers' family says she had dated Griggs years ago.
