Updated: Fri 12:45 AM, Oct 13, 2006

Keep you ice scraper ready, a widespread frost is expected across the region by Thursday morning.

The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning for just about the entire state.
Temperatures are expected to go as low as 28 degrees in the Lexington Area. It will be the coldest air of the season.

The frost is expected to end the growing season around. If you have plants you should bring them inside or cover them up.

It will also be the first time many people turn on their heat. Many heating companies spent the day checking our furnaces. It’s recommended you have your furnace checked before the beginning of each heating season.
