Officials have confirmed the identities of two people killed in a south central Kentucky house fire.

Investigators believe a cigarette may have sparked a deadly fire in the Knifely community of Adair County.

Officials say 34-year-old Laura M. Gadberry and 23-year-old Todd Judd died of smoke inhalation. Three others escaped the flames.

Police charged one of the survivors on an alcohol intoxication charge. People inside the home say Hershel Junior West may have fallen asleep with a lit cigarette.
