A murder trial that was supposed to get underway Monday morning has been postponed.

Instead, William Oliver will face a competency hearing Tuesday afternoon. The Commonwealth's Attorney reports a trial date may be set at that hearing as well.

Oliver is charged with murder in the death of his girlfriend. Police say he stabbed 19-year-old Jennifer Toadvine, then hid her body under a woodpile in Bourbon County.

Toadvine's body was found five months later.
