Driver In Fatal Accident Only Had Learner's Permit

The driver in fatal accident that killed a Lexington teenager was driving on a learner's permit.

Lexington Police say 17-year-old Nicolas Petit-Frere should not have been behind the wheel without a licensed adult in the passenger seat.

He had only had his permit for four months at the time of the accident.

Police say he was speeding on Russell Cave Road on Monday night, near Faulkner when the Camry crossed lanes, hit a rock wall, and then a tree head on.

15-year old Nate Stuckey was killed.

Petit-Frere, Jasmine Marks, and Kierra Fultz were sent to the hospital.

Tonight, Jasmine is listed in serous condition, Kierra in fair, and Petit-Frere in critical.

All attended Bryan Station High school.
