Very slow moving showers and thunderstorms will move into our area overnight and Sunday. The potential for flooding will be heightened in southern and eastern Kentucky.
The 135th running of the Kentucky Derby is about to take place in Louisville, but it will be without "I Want Revenge" who scratched early this morning.
Of course "I Want Revenge" the early morning line favorite at 3-1 when the field was set was scratched due to a hot spot on his left ankle.
This is surprising, the first morning line favorite to ever scratch the day of the race.
An x-ray and ultra-sound test didn't find any damage, but when the ankle was flexed it was tender and with the wet track conditions, trainer Jeff Mullins and owner David Lanzman didn't want to take any chances.
