FORT KNOX, Ky. (AP) - Fort Knox has closed its child care center after a probable case of swine flu was found.
Spokesman Ryan Brus said child care has been suspended at the U.S. Army post in central Kentucky through at least Wednesday after a child with flu-like symptoms attended the center last week.
State health officials say the case involves a toddler who recently traveled to an affected area in the United States. The child has not been hospitalized.
Brus said children who normally attend the child care center should stay at home and medical attention should be sought if flu-like symptoms develop.
Kentucky has one confirmed case of the swine flu involving a Warren County woman who is hospitalized in Georgia, and five probable cases including the one at Fort Knox.
