FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - The Kentucky health department says the
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has confirmed a case of swine flu in a young man in Daviess County.
The case is the second confirmed case of a Kentucky resident with the H1N1 virus.
The department said in a news release Tuesday that specimens from Kentucky's four remaining probable cases are still pending at the CDC in Atlanta. Those cases are in the Barren River Health District and Fayette, Montgomery and Hardin counties.
Kentucky's first confirmed case, announced last week, involves a
Warren County woman who is hospitalized in Georgia.
No new cases were reported Tuesday, the department said.
On Sunday, the department said the Daviess County man attends college in Massachusetts and had received antiviral treatment. The man has recovered, the department said.
