Two Injured In Harrison Co. Accident

Two people are in critical condition at UK hospital after car accident in Harrison County.

It happened late Tuesday afternoon on Stratton Pike.

Sheriff deputies say the driver went off the shoulder of the road, over corrected and flipped the car twice.

The car then landed on a tree, and burst into flames.

Both the driver, 30 year old James Ritchie and the passenger, 24 year old Stacy Barnes were ejected from the vehicle and air-lifted to UK.

Authorities believe excessive speed likely played a role in the accident.
