From electric meters to telephone lines, police say they've arrested a Bourbon county man responsible for causing random outages.

Since the beginning of October, Paris police officers have had dozens of reported power outages caused by damaged or destroyed electric meters.

Police arrested 24-year-old John Florence Sunday for cutting the power from more than forty homes and businesses.

Florence told officers he cut the wires to release spirits inside him. He faces 5 to 70 years behind bars for 43 criminal mischief charges.
