A Winchester family has been displaced after a fire destroys their home. The fire happened at a home on Lincoln Street in Winchester just after 6:00 p.m.
The family had left the home about fifteen minutes before the fire was reported. They had been in the home most of the day celebrating Mother's Day. Family members we spoke to say they can't think of anything they might have left turned on and were not aware of any problems in the home that might have led to the fire.
One of the homeowners' daughters is set to be married later this month and came to the home to find all of the items for her wedding were destroyed. She told NEWSFIRST that all of those things can be replaced and that she was just happy her parents weren't hurt.
The cause of the fire is under investigation but officials say nothing appears to be suspicious.
