Crash Kills One on Interstate 75, Another Airlifted for Serious Injuries

One person is dead and another is seriously injured after an accident on Interstate 75.

The accident happened near the 65 mile marker in Rockcastle County. Kentucky State Police tell us one person was thrown from their car during the wreck. That person was pronounced dead on the scene.

Another person was life-flighted to Mount Vernon Hospital. Traffic was tied up for about two hours due to the accident. Police were forced to close both southbound lanes to clean up and investigate the crash.
