Fallen Lexington Soldier To Be Honored

There are plans to dedicate a monument to a Lexington soldier killed in the line of duty.

Lexington's Community Corrections will honor Staff Sergeant Delmar White with a monument next Wednesday.

White was killed by a roadside bomb while serving in Iraq with the Kentucky National Guard back in 2007. He had only been in Iraq for a few weeks at the time of his death.

Before he joined the military, he was a corrections officer in Lexington. White is survived by a wife and two children.
