We're now under two weeks until voters head to the polls. Wednesday night, the two candidates for Lexington mayor faced off.

Both, incumbent Teresa Isaac and candidate Jim Newberry, have been going door to door, as well as campaigning by phone.

During the debate, Newberry said city leaders need to stop bickering amongst themselves in order to get things done for the city. He also said the city needs to focus more on it's relationship with the University of Kentucky.

Isaac promoted her experience and recent growth in Lexington.
She also said Lexington is a much safer and greener city since she took office four years ago.

There are two more debates scheduled between the two.
The first on Monday, October 30th at 7pm at the Fayette County Extension Office located on Red Mile Place.
The last debate is set for Wednesday, November 1st at the Joseph Beth Booksellers in Lexington Green.
