Downtown Lexington Buildings Surveyed

Lexington leaders had a look at a special inventory, of the city's downtown buildings, many of which, are historic.

About 75 people, including Mayor Newberry and other Lexington dignitaries, were presented a building by building inventory.

It covers 34 downtown blocks, compiled by the Division of Historic Preservation and categorizes each structure in downtown.

The study took about seven months to complete, and it did not evaluate structures built after 1965.
