Missing Brother, Sister from West Virginia Killed in Wreck

PIKEVILLE, Ky. (AP) - A missing brother and sister from West Virginia died in a crash in eastern Kentucky, state police said.

Donald Carey, 46, and Patricia Carey-Turner, 52, who were listed as missing by Mingo County, W.Va., authorities since Oct. 17, were found dead in their truck late Wednesday night.

Investigators say the truck, a 2002 Chevrolet S-10, ran off the roadway at McCarr, about 30 miles northeast of Pikeville near the West Virginia line. It overturned several times, striking trees, before landing upside down in Tug Fork Creek.

The Careys, both from the North Matewan area, were pronounced
dead at the scene. They were reported missing by their mother, who has said it was unusual for the two to go several days without contacting family members.

The wreck is still under investigation by Kentucky State Police.
