Police say a man was driving drunk when he hit an ATV sending a child to the hospital.
The ATV was on Kentucky 38 near Evarts in Harlan County when a Toyota Corolla crashed into it.
The driver of the Corolla, Jeffrey Wayne Massengale, is charged with his third offense of DUI, possession of an open container in a vehicle and possession of a controlled substance.
The driver of the ATV was airlifted to the hospital.
