Governor Beshear Asking President For Help

Governor Beshear promised residents of the flood and tornado ravaged counties quick action during a tour of storm damage on Tuesday.

Wednesday, the Governor sent a letter to the President asking for a Federal Disaster Declaration.

18 counties have now declared states of emergency. Most of those counties have filed assessments with the Governor's office for federal help.

Also, FEMA announced teams will arrive by Friday to begin damage assessment in Madison County to determine if the county is eligible for federal assistance.
