LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - An official has identified two men who died after an ammonia leak at a cold storage warehouse south of downtown Louisville.
The Courier-Journal reports that deputy Jefferson County coroner Larry Carroll identified the men as 59-year-old Robert Corbin and 34-year-old Damon Shanks, both of Louisville. They were maintenance men at the company.
They were removed from the building on Wednesday by firefighters and later died.
The anhydrous ammonia leak was reported at about 4:30 p.m. EDT at American Cold Storage. About a dozen workers had left the building by the time firefighters arrived.
