Two Men, One Masked, Hold Up Business

Lexington police are searching for two men who held up a check cashing business.

It happened at around 11:00 Thursday afternoon at the Check Into Cash store on East New Circle Road in the Woodhill Center.

Police say two men, one wearing a Halloween mask described as an all white face mask, used a silver handgun to get money from the clerk.

Sgt. Ann Gutierrez with Lexington Police says she'd never heard of a mask like this and is hopeful, because the mask is unique, it will be easy to track down who bought it.

After the robbery, the men ran around the corner of the building, into a neighborhood, running past a classroom full of people.

Some witnesses tell police they saw the same two men hanging around the shopping center parking lot on Wednesday.

Police say they have very little to go on, saying the man with a gun was about 5'7", wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, black jeans, and white shoes.
