Strong and severe storms continue to push across central and eastern Kentucky. This action should begin to wind down over the next few hours.
The state plans to make improvements to a stretch of road in Scott County where a high school student died earlier this year.
Franklin County High School senior Jenn Penn lost control in a curve on U.S. 460 and slammed into a guardrail.
The Transportation Cabinet says it will install fluorescent flashing yellow lights in the curve and is looking into putting down high-friction material on the road, which would keep people from sliding.
The State Journal reports a date to install the improvements has not yet been set.
