Police Can't Find Three Lexington Sex Offenders

Updated: Sat 3:41 AM, Oct 28, 2006

Tonight, police across the state are on a mission to keep your children safe. It's called Operation Harvest Moon, a crackdown on internet predators and sex offenders who are living illegally.

More than two weeks ago, Fayette County Sheriff's deputies went on a mission to round-up 50 convicted sex offenders, living in areas they weren't supposed to. A new law was passed, keeping them from living within 1,000 feet from schools, daycares, churches and playgrounds.

Most of the offenders have been tracked down, but there are still three convicted sex offenders who could be living anywhere. Police say Jeffery Williams, Robert Brown and Esteban Rodriguez are living illegally in Lexington.

In Fayette County, the new law forced 180 sex offenders to re-locate.
