Tainted chocolate or teenage mischief are no longer the only threats that could spook parents on Halloween.
A sex offender on the other side of the door has become a worry, but there is a way to know before your kids say trick or treat.

Unlike dozens of others states, Kentucky doesn't have a state law that prevents sex offenders from participating in Halloween activities or handing out candy.

Parents can use the internet to find out where sex offenders live, before going to door-to-door. Besides the Kentucky sex offender registry, parents can also use Child Safe Network to map out sex offenders living in your neighborhood.
