More than 4 million people call Kentucky home these days, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.

Newly released numbers show current population estimates for the Bluegrass State land at 4.2 million.

That puts Kentucky 30th in line for the largest population in the U.S.

Of the state's counties, Robertson has the fewest residents at just over 2,200, while Jefferson has the most, at 713,000.

282,000 people live in Fayette County.

The census office sent me a survey to fill out a month or so ago. I sent it back to them with a note that I did not want to be part of the Obama survey. They sent me another survey..I sent it back again. They now have been sending a census worker out to see me. I told this worker I did not want to participate in this. The survey worker implied that I could be put in jail for refusing. I told this person to bring the federal marshal next time so they can lock me up then. Stay tuned for the next visit.
