We have good news for you chicken lovers, KFC is going healthy. The fast food chain announced Monday they will be phasing out trans-fat in all of their restaurants.

Health experts say trans-fat raises the levels of artery-clogging cholesterol and contributes to heart disease. The company has been testing several replacements. They now say they finally found the perfect substitute.

KFC's president, Gregg Dedrick says, "the ultimate moment of truth for me when I knew we were doing the right thing for our costumers, was when our franchisees couldn't tell which chicken had 0 trans fat and which didn't."

The chain is now using soybean oil, many KFC's have already made the switch including several we spoke to in Lexington.
