Northern Ky. Doctor Restricted After Sex & Drug Charges

COVINGTON, KY -- A Northern Kentucky doctor has had his license restricted in the wake of criminal charges that he traded pain medication for sex and money, according to documents from the state Board of Medical Licensure.

The board has prohibited Milton Brindley, whose office is on Main Street in Augusta, from prescribing controlled substances. The board issued the order on May 13.

Brindley was indicted in December on federal charges that he traded drugs for money, sex and pornography, making nearly $600,000, according to the indictment. Brindley is scheduled to go to trial in July, according to the board.

A consultant for the board of medical licensure told the Lexington Herald-Leader that Brindley prescribed pain and diet pills "without any documentation of why the patient was given such medication."
