Accident Between Passenger Car and Coal Truck Leaves One Dead

A deadly crash involving a coal truck and a passenger car leaves one person dead.

Pike County Police are working the scene and have confirmed one death. We're told the accident happened in Kimper, in Pike County. The crash involved a coal truck and a car, but authorities are not releasing details on the person killed.

State Highway 194 east is closed while crews work to remove the wreckage. We do not know how long it will take or when the road may reopen.
