Firefighter Dies While Battling Horse Farm Fire

An Indiana firefighter died while battling a fire at a horse farm near the Kentucky border Wednesday morning.

Greg Cloud died after the fire intensified, and he couldn't make it out of the home in time. Cloud was a volunteer fireman who leaves behind a wife.

Chief Lloyd Lamb of Kent Volunteer Fire Department says,"you do everything, you train, you train, you train. You never expect something like this to happen. so yeah it's gut wrenching."

Fire Chief Robert Black suffered some serious injuries fighting the fire and was expected to undergo surgery Wednesday afternoon. The Little King Farm is home to about 300 miniature horses and is one of the top breeders in the nation.
