Police Charge Man In Rape Of 63-Year-Old Woman

Police charge a man wanted in connection with the rape of a 63-year old woman in Lincoln County.

Just hours after the brutal attack, 42-year old Frankie Dale Crowley was arrested on outstanding warrants.
Wednesday, investigators charged Crowley with 1st degree rape, two counts of sodomy, burglary and tampering with evidence.

Police say he is the one that kicked down the door, beat up a 63-year old woman and repeatedly raped her before leaving. Help didn't arrive at her house until almost nine hours later when her brother came to check on her.

Her family says they've known Crowley since he was young.

Investigators are waiting for results from D-N-A tests run on Crowley.
