A special honor Wednesday night for the first responders to the crash of Comair Flight 51-91. They were recognized at the Policeman's Banquet.

Officers James Pete Maupin, Jon Sallee and Bryan Jared helped pull the lone survivor out of the wreckage. They received recognition and awards for that act.

Debbie Hersman, the NTSB spokesperson, was the guest speaker for the event. Hersman says the crash of Flight 5191 was especially hard for her because she has family in this area.

Hersman said the three officers exemplify the meaning of service.
