The First Alert Weather Team and Midland Radio have donated 40 NOAA weather radios to Madison County as a result of the devastating tornado earlier this month.

The local Emergency Management Agency will be passing them out to residents who live outside of the Immediate Response Zone (IRZ).

Kent Clark, Madison County Judge Executive, says, "The radios are a first line of defense...Sometimes residents are inside with the television and can't hear the sirens."

NOAA weather radios can be programmed for your specific area. They have proven to be a life-saving tool during severe weather.

Weather radios can also be purchased for a discounted price at many local Kroger locations.
