State Police Arrest Three In Connection With 1987 murder

CENTRAL CITY, Ky. (AP) - Police have charged three people in
connection with a 19-year-old murder case in western Kentucky.

The victim, Corinna Mullen, 20, of Central City, was murdered Oct. 2, 1987. She was found dead in the trunk of her car at Hillwood Apartments in Central City.

The arrests were made Thursday after new evidence was discovered, state police spokesman Stu Recke said. He would not say what the evidence was or how it was found.

Billy F. Fields, 63, and Jimmie D. Cramer, 37, both of Central City, were charged with murder, rape and kidnapping, police said. Angela K. Smith, 40, was charged with complicity to murder, complicity to rape and complicity to kidnapping, police said. Fields also faces a charge of tampering with evidence, police said.
