Mobile home fire kills northern Ky man

ELSMERE, Ky. (AP) - A northern Kentucky man has died in a fire at his mobile home.

Police in Elsmere said the body of 41-year-old Kenneth Dean Croy was found in the rear of the trailer early Thursday.

Elsmere Police Detective Dennis McCarthy told The Kentucky Enquirer that no foul play is suspected in the death of Croy, who witnesses said had been drinking heavily in the hours before the fire was discovered around 4 a.m.

Croy was thought to have died of smoke inhalation, although an autopsy was planned.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Elsmere is about 5 miles southwest of Covington.
