A lamb was found safe in Lexington, hours after he went missing from a Lexington nursing home on Thursday morning.
A one-month-old lamb, Lil' Bit, wandered away from the Mayfair Manor Nursing Home off Tates Creek Road near Landsdowne. The lamb was found at around 5:00 Thursday afternoon across from Central Baptist Hospital on Nicholasville Road.
Nurses discovered Thursday morning that the lamb somehow got out of its pen.
A nurse, Sharon Frederick, brought Lil' Bit to visit the people who live there at Mayfair Manor. She says Little Bit was only left alone in the fenced courtyard for a few minutes while she went to get his bottle.
Frederick says she believes the ten-pound animal crawled through a hole in the fence and wandered behind Mayfair Manor onto Montevesta Road.
