Agents Ready To Investigate Possible Vote Fraud

Posted: Mon 7:27 PM, Nov 06, 2006

Attorney General Greg Stumbo says agents will be touring the region Tuesday, ready to investigate any possible vote fraud.

More than 4,000 local offices are up for grabs across the state and already, Stumbo says voter fraud complaints have been pouring into state offices. However, he says elections are much cleaner than they were 15 years ago.

A voter hot line volunteer says, "a lot of times it's not really that there are violations of law, a lot of times it's just hot election cycles, people tend to maybe over-react."

To report vote fraud, you can call 1-800-328-vote. If you have other questions about election procedures, you can call your county clerk's office.
