A storm complex will affect our region again today. Expect scattered storms to pick up during the afternoon hours. Damaging winds, flooding and lightning are the main concerns as these storms roll through.
A driver is okay Thursday night, after slamming into a concrete barrier on the interstate and then escaping before the car exploded.
Investigators say the driver was the only person in the car, and dodged a wooden door that had flown out of the bed of a truck and onto I-75.
The driver swerved and lost control and crashed into the barrier.
The driver suffered only minor injuries in the impact, but got out of the car when it caught fire.
It eventually exploded, and is a total loss.
The driver has been treated and released, and the interstate is clear there now.
