Scott County Student Killed In Fiery Car Crash

A bystander tries to save the life of a Scott County High School student after a fiery crash.

Police say 17 year old Eric Worthington's car crossed the center line on stamping ground road Monday night and hit a truck. The coroner says the car burst into flames. A bystander pulled Worthington from the wreckage, but the coroner says it was too late.

Now the principal is preparing to help students cope when they return to school Wednesday.

The Scott County High School Principal says, "a lot of times in school this is where they associate being with any child and being with Eric and they'll need to come here and grieve and we'll have counselors and teachers prepared for that."

The principal says counselors will be at school Wednesday for students to talk to.
