With lower gas prices, more drivers expected on the roads this Memorial Day holiday season than last year.

Several states came to represent at the Kentucky Horse Park, as campers and RVs parked out for the long weekend, including those from Kentucky.

Many Central Kentuckians opted to stay close to home, instead of travelling elsewhere as millions are expected to, according to AAA representatives.

While some cited family tradition for coming to the horse park, others say it was pure convenience.

For those still planning to head out, law enforcement officials are out in full swing. The Click It or Ticket campaign is also underway and expected to be in full force through the weekend.
