Voting Machine Problems in Scott County

Updated: Wed 7:43 AM, Nov 08, 2006

Officials in Scott county finally released results after a major set-back.

At around 11:00 Tuesday night, election officals realized there was a problem with the voting machines.

Officials tell 27 NEWSFIRST the new and old voting machines weren't communicating.

Technicians were called in to try and fix the problem early Wednesday morning.

In races like the extremely tight mayor's race, every single vote counted.

Karen Tingle-Sames won by less than 100 votes over incumbent Mayor Everette Varney.

A re-count is expected.
