WKU Students Falls To His Death 
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (AP) - A Western Kentucky University student
was found dead on campus this morning. The university says the
18-year-old freshman had apparently jumped from his 20th floor dorm
room window in Pearce-Ford Tower.
Campus police received a call about the incident at 12-26 a-m
central time and are investigating.
Authorities believe he disabled a safety mechanism designed to
keep the window from opening more than four inches. A safety check
of the room earlier this month found the window had a safety bar in
place.
The Warren County Coroner's Office was expected to determine the
official cause of death.
