Tricky new scam to steal your bank information

He had heard about scams time and again, but one Clark County mans says he fell for one anyway.

Winchester resident Matt Hall says he got a text message warning him that there had been suspicious activity on his debit card. Hall says he called the number provided in the text message and was greeted by an automated system claiming to be the Visa Credit Card Comany.

Hall put in his account number, and pin number as prompted by the system--and then the line went dead. When Hall called back then number wouldn't go through. It was then he realized he'd given his information to theives.

Now he's warning others to not call an unknown number, and to think before you call. He says being in a panic about identity theft could cause you to get your information stolen.
