A heavy rainmaker is set to move into our region later today. The bulk of the heaviest rain is overnight into tomorrow with a Flash Flood Watch in effect.
The Laurel County Sheriff's Department is searching for a man who reportedly tried to kidnap the same eleven-year-old girl on two occasions.
Lily resident Vivian Whittamore says her granddaughter Caitlin was nearly pulled into a moving vehicle twice this week by the same man. The first time the girl was with friends, the second time she was alone.
Now, Whittamore is terrified the stranger will keep trying until he gets her granddaughter.
Whittamore says the man is a stranger to her granddaughter and her close-knit neighborhood. All anyone knows is that he drives a newer model red Chevy Camaro.
Police are now searching for that vehicle and the suspect who is described as a white male, early 20's, with dark blond hair and glasses. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the Laurel County Police.
