Push to Raise Kentucky's Minimum Wage

Some Kentucky Lawmakers will make a push to raise the state's minimum wage Wednesday.
Right now the state's minimum wage is $5.15 an hour - that's the same as the Federal Minimum Wage.
The proposal is expected to increase the state's minimum wage 41- percent.
That could bring it to $7.25 an hour.
Just last week, voters in Ohio approved a measure to increase that state's minimum wage to $6.85.
Missouri voters increased their minimum wage to $6.50 an hour.
