Police are searching for who's responsible for burning down some of the playground equipment at Nicholasville Elementary on West Maple Street.

The incident has caused students at the elementary to be stuck inside during recess for the third day straight.

It's all because over the weekend someone set some equipments on fire, leaving it unsafe for children to play. Police say the melted mess is no accident and the fire was intentional. Nicholasville police say the crime is a felony.

The playground is worth $15, 000. Police say they do have some leads and believe juveniles may be behind the arson.
