Gas prices are rising, and economists say several factors will determine if they continue to rise.
'Tis the time for summer driving.
With many schools across Central Kentucky getting out this week, drivers are getting ready.
But as people hit the pumps, they've taken notice of gas prices. Just overnight, prices jumped more than ten cents as some places.
In Kentucky, the average price of gas per gallon is $2.50, a 12 cent jump from last week and nearly 50 cents from last month.
While the rising prices are stopping some from hitting the roads, it isn't stopping everybody, especially when looking back to last year.
The average price of gas was $3.93 this time last year.
