A dynamic system will cross the state over the next few days and deliver another big rain event. This could cause flash flooding across parts of the state.
FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - The Kentucky Office of Employment and
Training reports that unemployment in each of Kentucky's 120
counties rose during April.
Unemployment rates across the state range from 6.9 percent in
Fayette and Woodford Counties to nearly 17 percent in eastern
Kentucky's Magoffin County. Kentucky's statewide unemployment rate
is 9.8 percent, which exceeds the national unemployment rate.
Kentucky has 67 counties with unemployment rates above 10
percent. They include Jackson County, with 15.9 percent; Trigg and
Menifee counties, each with 15.8 percent; and Bath County at 15.2
